Skiing to the South Pole is probably one of the toughest challenges you will face. The 1000 kilometers long route offer exciting challenges and experiences.

Skiing to the South Pole is no a piece of cake. You need to thrive in cold conditions and document previous expedition experience. This expedition will likely be your toughest yet, so good physical conditions is also very important.We will however, help you along the way. With personally made equipment lists, training schedules and other tips & tricks to make sure you will have the best expedition possible

Day 1 to 5
Everyone arrives in Punta Arenas. After everyone has checked into their hotels and gotten sorted, we will meet and begin packing! We will spend the next days packing food and preparing. On the fifth day we fly to Union Glacier, Antarctica.

Day 6 to 8
We fly out to Union Glacier in Antarctica, where we spend the next day packing our pulkas, and doing the last preperations. On day 8 Ken Borek Air takes us out to the starting point of the expedition, and we can start skiing south.

Day 9 to 30
We ski south!
The days are beautiful, with changing weather, and snow as far as the eye can see. A few days we will se mountains in the distance. On day 30 we gett close to Thiel Corner, a smal landing strip with our cache. Here we restock on food and fuel, before continuing towards the south pole.

Day 31 to 50
As we get closer, the air gets thinner, sastrugi gets bigger, and it gets colder. we are steadily climbing,  and getting closer to our goal. We celebrate both Christemas and New years, on the ice, and have a "expedition party" in one of the tents. 

Day 51 (+/- 5 days)
THE SOUTH POLE!
After arriving, we have time to look around and think back on the last weeks on the ice. good food and drinks are served, and we enjoy other company. Flights back to Union Glacier and Punta Arenas are weather dependent, but normally quick and easy.
