This summer skiing expedition is really something out of the ordinary!
Here you will experience the remote and rare natural beauty of Western Svalbard. At this time of year the snow is melting in the warmer weather and the midnight sun present, yet the glaciers are still offering good conditions for skiing. The wildlife is becoming active and we will experience the arctic at its most lively.

Training
We suggest you pull tires and get used to walking with a heavy backpack. The days will be long, so make sure your stamina is up for it.
After arrival we make our final preparations for the expedition! We will test our stoves, tents, prepare food and go through our glacier equipment. In the evening we will have time for some shopping in Longyearbyen's many outdoor shops, or we can share a meal together.
After fetching our equipment we will head to the harbor where a private charter boat is waiting for us. The boat trip will take from 1-3 hours depending on the conditions. On the way we will hopefully spot some marine wildlife, and maybe even a whale.
We will spend the next days navigating exciting glacier passes, hiking up mountains and enjoy views few people have ever seen. We will have long days, around 7 hours of skiing everyday. In evening we make camp and enjoy the simple life.
After spending beautiful days on the glacier, we will travel down Nansenbreen and navigate through the moraine towards the beach. Before the boat picks us up again we will have time to for a bonfire and some reflection - during which we might spot some whales, seals or even a polar bear.
